Hi, I'm Chloe and I’m taking part in The Walk to End Homelessness on 18th October 2026!
This year, I've gained a valuable insight into the critical homelessness services and support available at The Passage, including their Resource Centre and the Outreach Team. Between October 2025 and December 2025, The Passage supported more than 1,379 people with their journey away from the streets.
I’ve witnessed how crucial The Passage Resource Centre is for those sleeping rough; providing meals, laundry facilities, clothes, drop in health and activity sessions, and important key workers to help get rough sleepers off the streets and into safe, secure accommodation.
For many on the streets, they come to know The Passage when they meet the outreach staff - a vital frontline team who spend much of their time on streets of Westminster, speaking with homeless individuals, encouraging them to access the charity’s services and checking in on their health and wellbeing.
The Passage’s motto is "Everyone deserves a place to call home" and through my work at charity, I’ve seen first hand that for many rough sleepers, the journey to finding a home is long and complex one, requiring support from several initiatives to get them back on their feet. So that’s why I’ll be walking 10km around Battersea Park - the area I call home - to help someone with that journey to leaving homelessness behind.
The money raised from The Walk to End Homelessness will go towards funding the work happening on the frontline:
£15 could pay for trained staff to give a homeless person much needed advice
£30 could pay for five hot, nutritious meals for someone who visits their Resource Centre
£75 could fund a night of emergency accommodation to prevent someone from rough sleeping
£100 could help The Passage to provide a week of crucial training and supervision to one of their Mental Health Workers
£250 could pay for support from their Domestic Abuse Worker, for a client fleeing domestic abuse.
Thank you for supporting me and The Passage – your kindness changes lives.
Good luck, an excellent cause. Enjoy the walk xxx
